First time using it. When I got it I had yet to get my kessil H80 and the lettuce started to fall apart but as soon as I put the light on it started growing faster than I thought it would the only problem I have had with it so far is finding its way into my return pump I keep having to pull out pieces of it every now and then.

Yeah that happened to me the first time I started with just cheato. Cleaned it out and put both cheato + sea lettuce and a better grow light. Viola' ;)

I used a kessil H80, does it need to be stronger than that?

Have zero experience with the Kessil H80. The previous light I used had some white LEDs. No bueno.

I just have my kessil on the grow setting and about 3/4 on intensity. Works fine for me. I feed mostly mysis half cube once a dayand benepets reef food twice a week. I will feed flakes ever now and then to keep nitrates up so lettuce and cheato have enough to eat.
