This is my tank that I thought was doing pretty fine until a algae outbreak and I know it’s nitrates and phosphates, should I just let them stay and starve out their nutrients? I got 4 turbo snails and a emerald crab for a 20g. Also, how many corals is too many corals?

Can't really see anything in the pic need to view under white light. How old is the tank? What are your complete parameters?

I don’t think there can necessarily be “too many corals” unless there’s some chemical warfare going on in there. Example: nems stinging neighboring coral causes one to die releasing ammonia, chemicals, etc.

there’s many examples of this but if you place coral right and have fun with it, there’s never too much coral!

40 ppm nitrates almost no phosphates no ammonia no nitrites, I’m not home so I don’t have a picture that works
Can't really make an assessment without complete parameters, lighting and flow with a clear pic. Need the age of the tank.
