Green star polyp coral need help

hey y’all i got a weird green star polyp i got it about a month ago didn’t reallt have a good place for it so kept it in my sand bed didn’t open up at all tried rocks but hermits kept making it off so i got another rock drilled some holes put it in now i tested the water every thing is decent all my other stuff is growing nicely but this thing was suppose to blow up and grow fast yet mines like dead any advice

Water condition: water changes 2 week cycle
10gallon long
Temp 76
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Calcium i buff it usually it’s on the perfect side
Ph 8.2-8.3

Light - marine orbit 18-24 inches ( not the pro )
Reason why i try to keep the corals higher for more light

4 month old tank

Stock
Pistol/watchman goby
Clown fish
Hermits / snails mix
Emerald crab
Toadstool coral / dunken whisker / mushrooms

10ppm should do it. Mine thrives under medium light / flow. It's attached to the back wall / overflow in our tank and it spreading maybe a 1/2 - 3/4" per week.
Yah it’s weird the polyps are like tiny and only liek 4-5 literally no grow or anything dunno what’s going on
