Hello all, my name is Rose and I'm a designer from London, UK.

I currently have 4 freshwater tanks (check them out on ukaps.org where my username is Shangman, or on my Instagram @RosehipScapes), and I'm joining as I start to properly research everything before taking the plunge - I'm completely new to this salty side of the hobby. I'm planning to start with a little nano tank to get my bearings, and hoping to eventually set up a 50G when I've got the basics down.

In freshwater the forums have been so useful for learning and makings friends, and I love journals so looking forward to making one and getting more advice from you all soon :)

I love plants, so I'm especially intrigued by macroalgae, and the little fish and other creatures that can thrive alongside it. I love to make little ecosystem communities which are well balanced in freshwater, and hopefully it will be the same in my marine tanks too. I get the feeling the fish and inverts have even more personality! As a child my favourite thing to do on hoilday was rockpooling, to have my own little "rockpool" at home will be fabulous!
