I can't see in the over flow to see if you have room, but the BeAn style silent overflow is exactly that... silent. He recommends 3 drains but I and many others only use 2. You would have to split them and have the 2 drains going straight to the sump.

It should be silent I wouldn't worry. Plumbing 2 seperate lines is probably overkill. But looks good so far can't wait for pics with water :-)

Well i put water in the tank late last nite. I have several issues i have to work on. I have to reread how beans plumbing is done because mine is loud and cant keep up with my pump. I had to turn my pump way down and its rated at 2000gph. Another problem is i have a small leak on couple of my fittings. And the biggest problem i have is how loud my "quiet"pump is. When i bought it on ebay i asked the how quiet it wad as its in going to be in my living room. Was told as quiet as a ceiling fan, WRONG!!
But im making slow progress and hopefully i can resolve these issues soon.

AWESOME!!! the tank is filled with tap water and no leaks and it sets dead level. My pump has quiet down alot after getting my drains to match the return. The beans animal plumbing works great with just a little noise in the first chamber. So over all a little hum from the pump and a little water spashing in the first chamber that once i put a sock over will help with that.
Thanks for all the help and thanks in advance for the questions i will have!!
More pics to come-

Thanks, the top of the scape is 16" under the water. Once i get the t5bulbs and canopy built i already talked to bill about borrowing the par meter.

Right now having issues with the skimmer's pumps. Bought it used and i believe the sicce 2500psk pump burnt up. After 5mins of running it stop working and was very hot to the touch under water. Now it wont turn back on. The other pump was replaced with eheim 1260/1262(forgot which one) its really loud and i took it apart but no issues were found. I think i might go ahead and replace both pumps with askoll or waterblaster pumps.

As soon as i turned on the skimmer i got micro bubbles in the DT. Now with the skimmer turned off i still have some. So looks like i got some issues to work on this week.

Until the Skimmer runs for a few days, you are going to get micro bubbles no matter what you do.

Thats good to hear, was going to check and recheck all plumbing and baffles to find the problem. I even put a small filter sock on the output of the skimmer trying to stop the micro bubbles. The other problem is that i have a high turnover rate through my sump and so the flow was pulling the micro bubbles through the bubble traps.

But i will work on the skimmer pumps tonight and let it run for a few days.

i have fish!!

Well after a bad year and other hobbies(rc planes and heli) i finally focus on getting a operating tank this month. So i end up buying 10 green chromis and i couldnt resist a purple pseudochromis(spell check). I got them all late wed nite and been quite happy with how things turn out. I bought the material to build the canopy and my t5bulbs should be here soon too. With frag swap just a couple months away i hope to have things in order to be able to add some coral then.

Thanks again for everyone's help and support

Im almost done with the canopy, i change my mind with the columns and went with another design that i like better. I should be close to be done with painting by tomorrow and hope to find some fans to try and keep the heat down when running halides and t5s. Still got to build a frame to hold the halides and t5s at the right height as well.

Excuse the primer paint as i wasnt done when i had a emergency popped up and i stopped for the nite. Some of the trim was outside for awhile and needs a new coat of primer(bottom trim)
thanks
greg

Well the weekend is over and im mostly done with the canopy. Only thing left is to figure out the height to mount the lights and some fans.

I wish i could get more details in the pictures as it does in person.
