I’ve really gotten into a routine with my system and compared to my other systems I’ve built it’s really firing on all cylinders.

I see very very small fluctuations. Im testing on Fridays (water change day) and Tuesdays. Still no need to dose in my opinion. I do use Phyto feast daily per directions on label and I use the KZ nano power pack per directions on labels (Pohls Xtra, Sponge Power, LPS amino concentrate and Pohls Coral Vitalizer). I also add one drop of iodine every other water change. All my montipora are doing very well and colors are presenting very deep and vibrant. Idaho Grape is actually growing. I think I’m going to pick up a few Acros this weekend at Coral Connection if they have any I like. I won’t go crazy in case they kick the bucket.

I must say aquatic sea life is another Louisiana LFS on the east side of the state that makes me envious. I spent way too much money today. Got in late, pictures to follow. Picked up 5 corals and a beautiful pair of Perculas.

In non reefing news my Daughter also swept her age group with a 1st place at all stations and won the Level 2 Louisiana NGA state championship in her age group with a final score of 38.975. She bested 51 other gymnasts today and I’m very proud of her.

Progress. In case you can’t tell I’m saving the right side for a pile of fuzzy sticks. Once I feel the tank is ready I’ll likely order a large battle box from Adam and that will conclude my stocking in this tank……….Maybe lol

besides whatever I can shove down on the sand bed

With my bio load increasing evermore. I will have to use more food. In an effort to be able to do that I am going to test out a Santa Monica algae scrubber. This isn’t a very big tank so I went with the Hog1. I’m pretty excited about it. Supposed to be here tomorrow

The two montipora in the photo dump came from a well known Louisiana reefers tank his name is named Kelsi. (I did not purchase directly from him though). They are absolutely beautiful and I want to try and get some more of his corals. I’m praying I can keep the colors lol

I’m giving this stuff a try. The LFS that I went to didn’t carry reef roids. They said this is what they use. Seems legit

Tank's looking great! Adam's corals are the best! Also big fan of your little acan garden! one of my favorite corals!

Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much I appreciate that a lot.

I actually caught my wife staring at it yesterday. That’s when I finally knew I had it going my way.

it's funny you say that. When I got back into the hobby 6 years ago with my biocube, I had started letting maintenance etc get away from me, and the tank started going down hill, my wife then became NOT a fan of it b/c she was left to do things that she did NOT want to be doing (and understandably so).

Now that I"ve got the deskmate at my office and it's totally out of the house, I occasionally get some questions about how it's doing. Can I put a shrimp in there....could I do this....

I always joke with her now....so you're saying maybe there's a CHANCE I can put one back in the house. If anything I'd love to do another small one for my kids...as I know my two older boys love it...so time will tell!

Algae scrubber is up and running. Very easy to set up. I’m supposed to check on it in 7 days. So my next Tuesday water change and parameter check I’ll go ahead and check on. I doubt I’ll have to clean it yet.

Found a much better light setting since last update. Took a couple weeks to slowly apply it but the corals seem to love it and the pictures look MUCH BETTER
