I got a purple montipora digitata from ORA. I recently noticed a white growth on it. This is not bleaching. Has anyone seen this before and if so what should I do? Thanks in advance.

That is not growth. Looks like a coral that has been broken to me at that point or layed down in that spot.

also could be something munched on it

Should grow back over that spot if you have stable parameters. My forest fire digi is re-colonizing after almost total STN. It's 50% back from about 90% loss.

Second a broken or chipped spot, def not a growth

These spots appeared after being mounted and I have not damaged them so it is unlikely a broken or chipped area. If you look at the edge of the white spot you can see what looks like a stringy edge. Also if you look at the left middle part on the large white spot, it looks like something is trying to grow through.
