I ordered some GSP, and got them in this past Friday. But they dont look like pictures Ive seen. They are brownish with light green tips. Do they look normal?

Good thing is that this is normal. I don’t think your lighting is bad or parameters are off. Bad thing is that GSP has a lot of different varieties ranging from fluo green to brown. I have also bought some GSP when starting up my tank. In the shop it looked pretty green under the blue lights. Once in my tank they were just brown with some green tips and only showing the green under blue lights.

I have bought some fluo GSP from a reefer I have known for a long time. It looks stunning.

notice the brown GSP on the bottom rock and nice looking green one in the middle.

My opinion is to only buy GSP when you can see it in normal lighting conditions in the store.

Hmm, what's your lighting? Mine look pretty brown under very plain white lighting, but immediately pop as soon as you bring in blues.

Reef breeders photon 24 Blue channel at 40% whites at 5%. Even with just the moon lights on they are still brown with just little greenish tips.

Mine were similar and when extended, they were brown for a while. I found that once they were getting hit very aggressively by flow, they colored back up. I tried a few different lighting options before I went to the flow option....I assumed my flow was ok at that point.

Ive got them under pretty good flow. I know this video is prety crappy, but you can see them moving around.

From the first 3 pictures I'd swear it was anthelia or xenia.
There are different grades of GSP. There are some that are electric neon green to plain green to brown.

But sometimes it takes a few days for it to fully come out.
It looks best under bluer lighting.

IDK, It was sold as GSP. And its on purple mat like other pictures Ive seen of GSP.
For it to be Green Star Polyps, it really needs to be green.
IDK, maybe bad pictures, but you were the one who was wondering.
I just posted my opinion.
