It can be controlled, plenty of people have, but if it gets away from you.......:(. Luckily, we like the look of the wavy "grass", but the next tank is for corals only. I have read post where people have used Fenbendazole to get rid of it. If you really want it to grow, keep your nitrate and phosphate on the high side and enough flow to give it that "wind across the wheat field" look. PAR wise, IMO it is pretty adaptable. Some of mine grows on the bottom (36" deep) in the shade (~50 PAR) and then there is some growing on my return pipes 1" from the surface (300+ PAR).

Thanks!! Since it's a bare bottom tank, they're in either PVC pipes or glass bottles filled with a little bit of sand...
Thanks! I was thinking about getting one but I heard the care is difficult and they have the potential to eat small, slow moving fish like my planned pipefish and coral crouchers. Is this true?

Here's a top down of my 75G Mixed reef. There's an MP10 in the middle of it. I'm constantly cutting huge mats of it off the sand and throwing it away. You can see where the new white rock and mushroom are in the reflection is where I have to cut it. It looks great otherwise I'd have just pulled it off the wall.
