Hey, I just rescued a “rainbow anemone” from a petco store, and after bringing it to my LFS, we’ve identified it as a green bubble tip.

It’s been in my tank for about 3 days now, and it has moved to every nook and cranny of my tank. Just want a second opinion regarding the health status of this nem.

Also the tank looks super cloudy, might want to work on that asap.
That doesn't look like a bubble tip to me. Looks like a magnificent anemone
I do agree with you with the fact that it does look like a magnificent anemone. The only counter that I really have is that, when brought to my LFS, we could see slight bubbles in the tentacles that strongly resembled BTA.

yeah tank is cloudy, was cleaning the sand bed!

How’s the anemone doing?
Nem is doing great. It spit out a lot of zoos but eventually it settled behind the tank, where we really couldn't see it, but a few days ago it did move to the back corner where we could see it. mouth is closed and the coloration has returned since I started dosing the tank with phytoplankton. I also feed it mysis twice a week. Let alone I also disputed the charge of the anemone, as they were selling it as a bubble tip from the pet store... Not to happy with their customer service as I called in and was actually cursed out by them. Avoid Petworld in Madison WI.

These anemones are usually more expensive than bubbletips.

Glad it’s doing well! If it is a mag, which it does kind of appear as such, that’s a decent score provided they didn’t charge out the ying yang for a RBTA

You sure? I went to my LFS with the same pictures, and they were nearing close to a mag nem. They said that there’s a lot of tentacles and they are thinner. I do see some bulbs, but other than that hmmm…

White striations around the mouth indicate its a bubble tip
Not all bubble tips will have bubbles

You may be right! Honestly haven’t been paying much attention to it.
