I’m currently running it on my devices, did you update the devices?

I just programmed it into 2 MP 60s on each end of a tank. 100% 44 seconds anti sync.

It worked. The off pump still turns with no power.

so they have to be on anti-sync mode to work in gyre mode?

I am trying to set them up individually without anti-sync mode

I just picked some settings to try it. It didn't do anything unusual.
do you understand the "time" section on gyre mode? What does it do? Why you set it up 44 seconds?

In gyre mode the pump runs at the set power for the set time and is then idle for the same time.
Usually you use 2 pumps that alternatively push water in different directions so it sets how long each pump runs in anti sync.

a graph of pump speed in gyre mode. You set how high the peaks are and the spacing with the time.
The time setting affects how long the pump is both on and off.
You are creating a train of pulses. If you put slightly different time settings in the 2 pumps the 2 trains of pulses would go in and out of phase with each other over time. If you sync them this won't happen.
It is rather complicated what all you can do.

so you set up yours both at 44 seconds? With anti-sync meaning one would turn on when the other is off? So that means in order to run gyre mode, anti-sync is a must then.

Anything seems to work for me on my pumps. I programmed them as 2 independent pumps running in gyre mode and it worked fine.

@canadianeh, sync and anti sync is a must if you want multiple pumps to work in tandum.

Setting one pump as the parent and making the others the child. Depending on what you select the child to be (sync or anti sync) will either copy or run opposite the parent.

The initial problem you were having with the pumps not moving, probably meant that you only had to power cycle the vortechs to basically reboot them.

I found the problem. It is because I set the gyre pump to run for few seconds. When I set them up in much longer running time they work.

so since you can set up each wavemaker separately using two different programs, you really don't need to have them set up with anti-sync I guess.

I think the only time you want anti-sync is when you want one pump to turn off for sometime when they other run and then take turns.

So My tank is 3 ft long 55 gallons Red Sea Reefer 250. I set up left MP40 pump as primary with 25% gyre mode with 45 sec time, and the right pump as child with 25% speed anti-sync.

why I still don’t see the up and down wave movement? What am I doing wrong?
