I have a Bryopsis outbreak that I wanted to try and handle naturally (rather than chemicals) so I got a Halloween Urchin because I like their colors.
This guy is awesome.

Here is a snail I have that’s shell was COVERED in Bryopsis

Then I saw my urchin on him yesterday getting a free ride and dine (shell is half clean already)

And here is my snail today

I thought I had heard that higher magnesium levels (1500 maybe?) is one natural way to combat Bryopsis. I think BRS has a youtube videos reporting out their experiences and it's worth trying a search.

My mag is usually that high and I still get that stuff. I may need to pick up one of those urchins

I also heard this but wanted an urchin and i know they can be a hit or miss with what they eat so I figured if the urchin that was my next step. If that didn’t work then I would have does Fenzal(or w/e that chemical is)

Looks like your Halloween urchin is the real deal. I have a tuxedo and a pincushion urchin in my 125 that wouldn't touch the stuff. Nothing would. I dosed flucoazole, and when the bryopsis started dying, the urchins, tangs and snails went crazy for it. I wonder if Halloween urchins are particularly effective against bryopsis, or if you just got a good one.

Or maybe my herbivores just need their food tenderized and seasoned to taste before dinner.

I might consider trying a Halloween urchin in the future. They really look cool.
