Hammer coral reproducing?

Hi,

I'm new to reef tanks, and I just started getting corals.
The tank has been running since april, but I only got my lights 2 weeks ago.

I've put this nice Hammer coral that's been in the tank for a little over a week.

I noticed yesterday that inside a hole in the rock right next to the coral, there's a small hammer growing and extending it's polyps out of the hole.

What's going on!?!?

It can happen, but it may either be a head that it shed when stressed, or maybe some sort of majano anemone poking its head out

It most likely shed a head then, as it clearly appears to be the same coral.

Should I be concerned about that and take some action?
Or is it normal during the first weeks?

I have almost 0 nitrate according to my salifert kit.
Phosphate should be low as well as I have a very productive refugium, but I cant mesure it since I dont have a test kit yet.

I wouldnt worry about it. I may have even been a small head that physically broke off. Leave it be and see if you got a free coral
