Hammer growth?

I saw these, almost translucent tentacles growing at the base of my pink hammer this morning. Is this new growth or some weird parasite I’ve never seen before?

Looks like a sponge or tunicate.

Should I dip or just try to scrape off?

Just leave it alone. WOn't hurt anything, and are great filter feeders. Also a good inidication your water parameters are decent.

Definitely some sort of sponge. I got it in my tank. Not bad, actually shows your tank is doing well. But it can spread so if it’s unsightly just scrape it off
