Have a newish tank and testing the alkalinity with a new Hanna device. Per instructions, 0 it out, add reagent, push on/off, get results -Except I push on/off, and it’s off. Start over, cycling back to C1, C2 and eventuallly I get L.Lo. What step am i messing up?

Try to not hold the button down. A quick press is what you are looking for.

As mentioned above, push the on/off button one click for on and wait for startup, add water vial, push button 1 click, wait for 0, add reagent and invert multiple times to mix, push button 1 click for result.

L.Lo is a low light warning that sometimes happens with low batteries. It could explain why the checker is turning off instead of giving a reading also.

Actually L Lo means Light Low. You will not get a valid test if you move on to the next step.

"There is not enough light to perform a measurement."

Make sure the cuvette is spotless by polishing it with a paper towel to remove fingerprints and such from the outside. It is also best practice to always put the cuvette in the same way (I use the little 10ml marking to the front) each read for best performance.

Yep, that would be logical except it's a new unit. I may try a new battery to check, but I have a note to Hanna tech to see what they say
