Things are looking good in my tank. Here are a few macro shots showing off the polyp extension:

What camera and settings do you use?

I use a Nikon D610 camera with a 200mm Nikon f/4 macro lens, along with a custom-ordered Avast Marine porthole tube. It's a beast to handle, but it works well for me. I don't do any editing. All my shots are straight from the camera which I set to 10K white balance. For depth of field I usually crank the aperture down to f/24 and use a longer exposure.

The 200mm is way overkill and super expensive. I'd recommend the Nikon 100mm macro, as it's a lot smaller, lighter, and less expensive, but the results for coral photography are very similar.

10-4 thank you for this info. Far as the tube I'm taking it's for underwater pictures? I have the 200mm lens. I just ordered a macro lens for it. Do you think I'd be able to get decent pix with it?

I'm assuming you have a 200mm telephoto lens, not the 200mm macro lens, right? Here's the one I'm talking about:

Yes that's correct it's not the macro lens. I bought a macro lens from nikkor that attaches to the end of 200mm lens. I'm hoping I can get decent closeup pictures with it. My tables are shallow about 5 inches of water cover on the corals.
