Directly not yet, but trough others post issues and emergency threads I have avoided problems and learned a LOT.
Im sure the time will come, this is an evolving hobby and I can always screw up

I wouldn't say it's saved my bacon but I sure have learned a lot and not just about keeping reef tanks. My vocabulary has expanded greatly because when I see words I don't know the meaning of I look them up and try to add them to my memory banks. I quit school in 9th grade to go to work full time and there are a lot of very intelligent people that visit here so I spend a considerable amount of time looking up words
I've learned patience, not just with the tanks but I've learned to be more patient with people in general. I've also learned to be more polite to others. Just because I'm sitting here and they are some where else doesn't mean I should talk to them any differently than I would if we're were talking face to face. I could go on but there's no need and it's probably lessons I should have already learned at my age.
My kids were young teenagers when my space became popular and I was not a fan at all so I've never been involved in social media. R2R is the only social media platform I use. The moderation here keeps things civil which makes hanging out here a pleasure. I try not to argue and try to learn instead and perhaps be able to help someone else with the information I've learned.
So no R2R hasn't saved my bacon but I like to think I'm a little better person than I was before I came here.

For R2R saved me so much bacon my cholesterol levels are up.
No, seriously. If it wasnt for R2R i never would have been able to navigate this challenging hobby. So much information to digest with each step and process learning the hobby.
I've tried giving a little bacon back by being a supporting member and other opportunities to support rev and this forum.
Btw, i prefer my bacon with hot sauce and brown sugar.

Saved bacon, no. I eat the bacon.

Helped tremendously? Yes. To the point I supported. This place is a gem.

And it gets serious bonus kudos for being friendly, and generally ramping down on nastiness, when it rarely appears.

just curious what reef2 reef has done for you. has it saved you from making a serious mistake? maybe helped you set up your system? walked you through a treatment program? or maybe just helps keep you interested in reefing!
i know i heavily depend on it! would be very difficult for me if i didnt have the resources that i can count on this forum!

Yes! Many times! Nothing is better than having a community of reefers who have "been there and done that" to share their experience and knowledge
