part one. i live in australia and cannot get prazzi pro here only tablets.each tablet contains 100mg of praziquantel. recommended dose 2 tablets per 40 liters, this is like your 10 gallon breeder.
this works out to be 5mg per liter. on a us site with prazzi pro it says the does should be no more than 2.5 mg per liter.
can anyone check this on a bottle you have please
part two this is the reason i ask if i have overdosed. On a 40 ltr tank i have one air stone running and a small power head no filter, breaking the surface. i brought home a foxface let it stay for 48 hrs in tank all ok eating everything seemed ok i dosed with 2 tablets as per my instructions 24 hrs later fish is dead. there are no marks at all no white spots the fish just very slowly started to stop swimming breathing heavy then died. ok i thought stress.
i have a second 40ltr tank i brought home two wrasse orange back and blue. i decided to use trank transfer method because i had read they dont like copper much.
first 72 hrs fine both eating and swimming around tank. done a tank trasnfer left for 24 hrs all eating swimming fine dosed 2 tablets 24 hrs both fish dead. i have used magnifing glass ect no stpots nothing, the first fish just slowly stopped swimming heaving breathing then died second fish followed within 1 hour.
all tanks running air stone on high all tanks using power head breaking service. no stops rash dust eyes clear no slime no white poo
any help please i am trying to work out what i am doing wrong.
