I just got all new probes for my apex and the salinity probe is calibrating fine hit the readings are off my 1.5 even with the temp compensation maxed out.

Anything else I can try?

I just did this with my ph probe, and had to meticulously clean it carefully before I could get things to calibrate properly.

Steps to follow

1) clean probe
2) In your case only I’d set tc back to default of 2.1-22 and make sure your temp probe is calibrated and at the right temp
3) reset the salinity calibration then restart the apex
4) critical!!- soak packet and bring it up to tank temp
5) use apex local as other as suggest.
6) use two device. I use my phone and laptop both connected to local. Uses explained below
Calibration
7) use the pc to start calibration. Step one will tell you it does not need to be complete dry this is where I disagree a bit with Neptune. I air dry my with a compressor air hose or computer spray co2 can till my phone shows 0 or is off by a decimal point or two. Then click next
8) open the packet that should be at tank temperature and placed the probe inside and continue to hold the packet in the water while shaking the probe around to get out bubbles. Use your phone as confirmation. The salinity probe should be showing somewhat around 35 with a reset calibration in the 34 33 is probably still good but if you’re salinity is show 15, 26 45….. before you even start step two of the calibration, you’re probably going to be off as most likely you have air bubbles and your probe. Once you’re confident the bubbles are gone next on the computer calibration process and should be good.
