Just wondering if this top part has to be submerged, didn't realize this heater would be too big until I got it. The part I'm talking about is circled in blue and the red line represents the water level.

You can mount it at an angle...Well... it ended up being too big anyways so the old heater is going back in :(

I'd be putting it in one of the back chamber of my aio tank so the water level never fluctuates. I just blindly bought this heater because it was bundled with a controller and I already use a 100w heater and that one is well below the water line so I assumed this one wouldn't be much bigger, but it's almost twice the size.Have you tried cutting it in half to make it fit? Kidding, obviously.
For the next one, how constant is your water line? I like mine submerged, the more the better …. Just in case.
