Hello community!
I am fairly new to the reef community.
I have a 65 gallon mostly soft coral tank that is about 7 months old. I am noticing some white fuzz in the overflow area and in the sump. Not sure if this should be concerning?
My parameters are good except for nitrates are at 10ppm, down from 20ppm. I do a 15% water change weekly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to R2R! Those look to be sponges and a sign that you're on the right track :)

Welcome to R2R!!! Personally, I wouldn't worry about a nitrate level of 10 ppm on a softy tank, or even for lps and they both like a tank to be a little dirty.

Welcome aboard! As others have already said, I think those are sponges beginning to grow... They are very much beneficial, and a great sign that you're doing everything right! ;Woot Sponges can be fairly sensitive, and won't grow in poor water conditions.
