Hi Everyone! My name is Alex, I'm in my late 20's and live in NYC with my fiance and two dogs! A good buddy of mine has a beautiful tank and every time I'm over his place I have a hundred questions to ask him and drool at how great it looks.

Recently, he offered to donate one of his old tanks (still very new) to me, along with a lot of equipment! I'm so excited to give this hobby a try and currently am overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to learn. I hope I can learn quickly and retain all the information as nothing would make me happier than to have one of these beautiful set ups in my home and to make my friend proud.

I know almost nothing in-depth about the hobby other than what my friend has taught me. This looks like a great place to start and I look forward to learning from all of you in the coming months.

Currently I'm picking out the spot in my apartment so I can relieve him of the spare tank taking up room in his home. Trying to get a handle on the lingo too lol

Cheers!

EDIT: My buddy is JLV8222 on here, so he's to thank for the new recruit!
