I was so anxious to make my first post I completely forgot to even mention my tank!

I've been keeping fish for about 20 years now. Started with a 29 gallon freshwater tank and, as they say, the rest is history. My wife and I tried saltwater about 15 years ago. We got some really cruddy advice from the only LFS in the area and ended up wasting a ton of money, time, and energy. We were so bummed out that we couldn't make it work that we went back to freshwater.

Up until May of this year, I'd been keeping Frontosa, Tropheus, etc. In May, I converted my 220 to a mixed reef. I have a Lifereef SVS2-24 skimmer, DIY LED's from RapidLED.com and a mix of a few SPS, more LPS, a couple clams, Naso Tang, Yellow Tang, Blue Hippo Tang, some percolate clowns, and a few Bangai Cardinals. The Cardinals recently spawned and I have ten baby Cardinals growing out in another tank; they're about 1/2" long now. I also recently added a couple Maxima clams.
