Well been hearing alot about your site from friends and others, I see you have some good sponsors and vendors. So that is what brought me and obviously the fact that I have a piece of the reef.
I currently have a Oceanic 140 gallon with a true 6inch Dsb about 120 lbs of live rock. I have Hydor flo's on all outputs and 2 mp40w for circulation, My return is powered by a huge Reeflo Blackfin 1800 = looking at it I didn't like it but now that time has past, it is a real good pump. Filtration is filtersocks, an Asm G3 wich will be replaced by a Bubblemaster 250 as soon as I put something aside for it, and though I am told not to I have 2 blocks of foam filters that I do upkeep. Additives are only phosguard and carbon as I am taking my time before I get back into corals. Both of those media are being fed by little fishies reactors and powered by adjustable t's off the return line. My lighting is 2 Current Usa fixtures One is a Mh250w/ T5 / Moonlight fixture and the other is just a T5 fixture. I am currently going to stick with primarily feeding any and all photosynthesis inhabitants with T5 to start, my T5 bulbs are a fair mixture of Mostly Ati bulbs for everything except Daylight, Daylight is handled by Geismann. All of this controlled by a reefkeeper Elite.
This is the second time I am running the same tank, I had a lot of problems the first time around with things happening inside the tank eg. starfish went crazy (uncontrollable by harlequin) and for some reason I could never control leaks in its old location and it was ticking off my downstairs neighbor and on a 6th floor I just rather not give the beams under the tank a reason to get weak so moving was imminent. Also this time around I went really slow and carefull I never introduced anything into the tank without a 3 week break and I plan to keep it that way and I only plan on adding corals in the winter time where I don't have to worry as much about temp swings. Well That's all folks for now will start a tank thread soon and point to it. Again Hello.
