QUESTION: Would it b a good idea to, for the time being, use the ROCK as a quarantine tank since it will be cycled, and runnin, but not adding any livestock to for awhile as we want to focus firstly on the REEF?
Amd while I'm asking questions, what is all the stuff about dipping, and garlic and things of that nature? Im really confused there is SO much info! Some suggested reading is greatly appreciated!!!

Rock would be perfect for a quarantine tank..but just remember that if you do end up treating the fish in the tank. A lot of of meds will kill off your bacteria and leech into rock and sand(if you have any in their)and will cause you to have to recycle the tank.Currently I have a 40 gallon breeder that I put them in and observe..then if treatment is need I transfer to one of my 10 gallon to treat.

Dipping I assume are referring to dipping corals with a coral dip to kill unwanted pests and hitchhikers

p.s.

Welcome friend!! Sounds like you have quite the adventure ahead of you. The pair of clownfish will definitely be fine but wait on the nem nem for at least 6 to 12 months. Closer to 12 months being preferred. So glad you joined us! Keep us updated
We want pictures as well!!

Welcome to R2R. The very hardest part in this hobby (in my opinion) is the waiting. You have to go slow. Take your time and go little by little. You will love this hobby if you do so. I'm glad you joined us. You will love it here.
