You'll love the cube! A great tank to learn with. You will enjoy Reefing with your son. My son and I reef together also. You can write off using the cube as a QT later...your son will want it in his room.

Hahah. I actually have had that same thought. He loves the fish. He kisses them good morning and good night (kisses the glass not the fish). When we gave away the fresh water fish, he told them “I love and I’m sorry we’re not keeping you. Broke my heart a little. Luckily they went to a close friend. Who we have called every day to check up on the fish and make sure they are being cared for appropriately. I definitely think him wanting a tank in his own room at some point would not be terrible surprising.
