Welcome to the hobby, honestly such a cool thing to be doing with your kids. Me, my father, and grandfather all bonded a ton over the years with my dinky 30 gallon I bought myself when I was 8!

Cannot wait to hear more about the experience! Also awesome way for them to learn cool nature things!
