A noob here. Well at least with salt water. I have yet to start a reef tank. I am graduating this coming December and my partner promised to by me a 14 or 28 g biocube. I want a couple of clownfish. Any advice will be appreciated as I do a little bit of research

The bigger the better. I started with a similar size tank, and quickly outgrew it. Welcome aboard, make sure you start a build thread.

I don't know what's my partner is gonna get but I told him I want the 29 g. But it is a gift after all so I'll get what get. Any advice if ever I do got the 14 g biocube?

On a small tank less is more when it comes to rock. I know some like it but I cringe every time I see a small tank just packed with rock. Also, use dry rock rather than live rocks. So much easier and no crazy hitchhikers. The 14 would be perfect for clowns.

Thanks I was thinking of at least 1 medium size rock just in case I want to add corals

This is a good place to look up fish and corals prior to purchase.Be sure to check out the Nano aquarium area for systems you may like.Take your time when adding new livestock and buy quality equipment.I would recommend a good sized hang on the back filter.It would give you slightly more water volume and a place to keep filter media.If you have any questions about a particular subject along the way-just post it!

Hey bud welcome to the club. As others have mentioned check out other tanks that people have threads about and use the search feature of the forum to find threads for specific information your looking for and never hesitate to ask anything. Just remember when starting a new tank the only thing to happen quick is a disaster. Patience is key.
