Welcome to R2R! I have that exact tank, can you tell me what equipment you have now besides the filter sock, which looks like it’s in the right place:)

So I had someone tell me to get the active carbon pellets and media bag but do I need that if i have the chaeto in the middle compartment or do I put the chaeto and active carbon in the same part?

Nice tank. The sock area is where the water should overflow in. I’m looking at similar tanks for my wife’s office.

Where you have your filter sock I have a IM custom caddy that holds filter floss active carbon and Chaeto ( 3 compartments in the caddy). I have my heater in the same compartment as the return pump. In the middle chamber I have rubble rock , some people put a protein skimmer in the middle chamber. You can google the tank on you tube, there’s some great videos showing how to set up and make modifications. Hope this helps.

Where you have your filter sock I have a IM custom caddy that holds filter floss active carbon and Chaeto ( 3 compartments in the caddy). I have my heater in the same compartment as the return pump. In the middle chamber I have rubble rock , some people put a protein skimmer in the middle chamber. Apologies I do not know what a IM caddy is but I will research it. I've been looking through YouTube videos and most don't show a break down of the back compartment or if they do its for a short bit. Every video people do it differently so I was getting confused. Thank you very much

One more question. You said you had your chaeto in the 3 tier thing so do you put it on top or do you put the 3 tier thing in the sock or just under the sock? Also how does the chaeto get light? Is there a special light you use? I've seen one video with a magnet light that stuck to the back. It was cool.
