I have been operating a reef tank for about 10 months, my first attempt to work in a salt water system. My equipment is a 24 gallon Aquatop unit. I currently have 5 fish, lost 2 so far. I have about 10 corals, couple of hermit crabs, a couple of turbo snails and a cleaner shrimp.
I am a retired mechanical engineer living in an independent living section of a retirement facility. That means I have a small apartment. The 24 gallon size is a good fit to my space.
