Have a 300G acrylic Sump. Its 72 x 28 x 24. I just noticed that about 3/4 the way up one of the seams appears to be failing. There is a large white/cloudy spot and its growing slowly but surely. The sump is 1" thick acrylic with no bracing. Its about 2 years old from advanced acrylics.
I have read that some people are successful with injecting Weldon#4 into the seam and letting capillary action suck up the Weldon to fill in the seam. I suppose I will only get one shot with this so seeking advice before I give it a shot.
Has anybody had any success with this, or any other suggestions for repair?
The sump cannot easily be drained and the sump cannot be removed from the fish tank room as the room was built around it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Image attached.
Thanks,
Cassidy
