HELP!!! ALL MY FISH ARE LAYUNG AT THE BOTTOM AND BREATHING HARD

Help! I have Always had a stable tank. I am doing tests now the only thing I noticed is that my pH was abnormally low. I added pH buffer and am hopefully bringing it back up now. What should I do?

Post all your parameters. Did you do anything to the tank or around the tank recently?

Did you add any water that may have had chlorine or chloramines? Maybe add a water conditioner that removes these just in case. Sorry you are dealing with this.

I have done nothing- I walked in and was looking at the tank when everything just went crazy.

I would throw a bag of fresh carbon in, double check the temperature, check salinity, check ammonia, make sure pumps are working fine and add a water conditioner as stated above.

How is your tank aeration? are you running a skimmer? Calcium- CO2 reactor (shut it off!)
How hot does your tank normally run, it's getting towards the higher end, and that will reduce O2 saturation.

My first goal would be to add aeration if you have any doubt. Maybe point a powerhead toward the surface.

Temperature is up there. I would increase surface agitation and get a fan blowing across the top of the water. Especially important if you don't have a skimmer.

That usually is a result from oxygen issues. That temp is a little high. +1 on surface agitation and a fan.

Does the tank always get that hot?

I would still put a fan across the top and maybe even put a 2 liter bottle of ice in the sump

Yes, tank is normally 79-80, we are having a heat wave, the last few days it has hit 84
