Help blonde naso tang is dying

Just today my 2 inch blonde naso was laying motionless on the bottom barley breathing and I noticed a few white spots on him does he have ich or something else please help

Tank mates are a 2 inch kole tang and a clownfish pair
But he kole tang and clownfish are peaceful with him
Tank is 50 gallon

It's definitely looking like ich. IME when they get to this point it doesn't generally end well. Do you have a quarantine tank? I'm questioning whether the poor guy would survive a fresh water bath so you might want to skip that step and get him moved into some medication right away to give him a fighting chance.

If you don't have and don't plan on adding corals or invertebrates to the tank you can dose meds right in the display.

Most likely at that point they will have already got it but not shown signs yet (Especially the kole). Melafix won’t do much in this situation, a copper based medication would be better if you can get some though. It probably started out because of the tank being too small, did you see any back and forth or racing around the tank like a whirlpool?

To me, I doubt he’ll survive… I’m very sorry, maybe a copper based treatment could still work in a highly oxygenated environment though

If you have no coral/inverts (Shrimp, crabs, snails) and don’t plan to add any in the near future then sure.

Unfortunately, melafix only works with ulcers and fin rot and not ich/velvet/other parasites like that. I think you need the 10g set up ASAP and cycled ASAP then get the fish in there and try treat there.

The ten gallon was already cycled a long time ago I put my naso in there 1 hour ago so I should put my other fish in there as well. Since I only have melafix right now should I atleast try it while I buy the copper medicine

I would only put the other fish in there when you see signs of ich/velvet (Scratching on rock, spots ect..) but don’t do it too late.

It does appear to have ich, but it isn't that bad. I would guess that something else is going on. How long have you had the Naso? Did your other tang attack it?

I had the naso for about 1 week and a half and the kole tang was very peaceful

Unfortunately, you have a limited time to get him treated.
It looks like ich, but could also be velvet given the rapid demise.
Melafix won't do anything for the parasites. He needs to get into a copper treatment ASAP. If you don't have copper at hand, you can try a fresh water dip to help with the symptoms, but this is only a temporary fix.

Treating your tank with melafix won't do anything. And could potentially harm your other inhabitants.
You will likely need to treat your other fish in copper as well. Ich is contagious and will spread to other fish, so is velvet.

I ordered some copper medicine i should have it by tomorrow. I did put him in a fresh water dip for 4 minutes.
