I recently got a blue tang and it was completely fine yesterday. I woke up this morning and it was dead with these white marks on one side of its body! Is it a bacterial infection? It all happened so fast, and all of my other tank inhabitants are fine.

My salinity is 1.025, pH is 8.2, and temperature is 79F/26C.

What size is your tank? Your other threads mention you have a 20 gallon tank, you didn't have this tang in the 20 gallon did you?

Long term, a 75 is not going to be enough for a blue tang.

Do you have a clean-up crew? Those marks could be damage from being picked at after death. The fish looks thin, did it eat at all?
Was it quarantined? Are other fish acting weird?
