Hello,

bubble king mini 200 I am trying to run it in a 200 liter aquarium, but unfortunately I am not successful. I have to use this PS, what do you recommend for effective collection by narrowing the venturi air inlet?

I am not sure I understand your question sir.
I apologize for my poor English, I am using this protein skimmer in a 53 gallon tank and it is not working effectively because it is too big for the tank. What changes can I make to make this skimmer work effectively at this volume?

Currently, water level 8" is working

Unfortunately large skimmers don’t work on small reef tanks, especially RE Bubble King. There is insufficient organic in the water for it to work.
You may run it once a week… but that leads to inconsistent skimming. If you run fleece roller turn it off..

For reference I have 53 gallon display (250L total system) and I use the Bubble King Double Cone 130 and even that is too large. It skims well but smaller size would be better like the new Supermarin 100.

Good luck,

Unfortunately, I do not have the chance to import in my country, I will be waiting for a second hand double cone 130 on the listings as well.

Much too wide neck for tank that size. You can raise water level up in to the neck to try and product skimmate better. You’re not far off and honestly it looks to be doing better than I would expect.

Are your nitrates high? If not, don’t worry too much about it.

My nitrate has always been around 50, it was a protein skimmer that did a very good job of skimming for a while, I think this was due to me using carbon, but now I'm expecting a natural nitrate drop.

That is what I was referring to when I said inconsistent skimming. Large skimmers will remove all the organics and bubble until the level builds up again. When there’s insufficient organics they act like oversized air stone.

You can run them infrequently or let them sit and bubble away.
The unfortunate side effects is that the organics in your reef swing up and down and that may be good or bad.
