Tank has been running for two years and Chicago Sunburst has been doing great till last week.

It will close up for half the day and open up to this. It did expel some waste and its mouth is open.

Tank parameters:
Alk - 8.3
Cal - 405
Mag - 1320
Phosphate - 0.02
Nitrate - 5
Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - 0

I haven’t added any livestock or made changes to dosing. I do a water change every week and run carbon with small about of GFO.

Not sure what to do and looking for advice.

Thank you!

How do the clowns treat it before and since?
Any changes, they nipping or bumping it?
Phosphate low for me at 0.02ppm. With margin of error factor can be zero.

I go no less than .1ppm. With margin of error that could be 0.06ppm to 0.14ppm.

The clowns will try to host it still but during the da my it’ll close up to a ball so they stay near it or will try to host in some softies I have but they have not nipped the nem.

I have had Dinos in the past maybe a year ago and the Chicago survived it.

Has the nem been happy for 2 years as well?
Do you feed it?
Very blue, you have “white” as well?

I’ll try to get a white picture when I get home from work.

In total I’ve had the nem for 3 years but in the current tank it’s been 2 years with no issues. It was always big and happy until last week. It moved under the rock and stayed there then it started to deflate in the pictures. Everything else in the tank is happy, I have softies in there and another nem that is fine as well

No fish?
No Shrimp?

Quick changes to long term success always makes me think of nipping or food stealing.
