Is it a single drain or dual drain? How do you have this set up?

It’s a dual drain. Each one of 1,5”.
And how are they setup inside the tank? Can you provide pictures of the pipes inside the tank? Best bet with two pipes would be to run a herbie setup.

Generally one is run as a full siphon with the pipe completely filled with water deeper under the water. The volume of flow is adjusted with a valve so that a tiny amount of flow goes down the second drain.
This way both are silent.

With the tank that close to the wall, it would be difficult to do a overflow boxes on the back. The drains as they are would be impossible to keep quiet.

I would remove one screen and put a 90 pointed up. Just remember your water level will also go up in the dot because of this mod so I would saw off part of the 90 to keep the water level

Will it have the same effect if i put some type of obstructor in a screen so that water level rises and covers it completely?

Yes but then you run the risk of it not working properly in case of an emergency

Even with the up 90's, there will be still significant noise. Might lessen it a bit, but still noisy.

Might be able to do 90's down, with a air hole in top of the Tee's on the dry side. Place the screens on the 90's end on the wet side. Kinda exposed "Durso".

I think they used to call this an external durso. This is probably the best you are going to get. You could turn this into a herbie. The problem running a siphon inside the tank is your likely to suck up your fish too.
