Yes, I believe he using a glasses to cover the aquarium because I show 2 handle of the top glass cover.

Yes but it is possible it doesn't completely cover. I used glass tops that covered half my tank on a fowler to reduce evaporation and keep spray off lights. If it is completely closed then we need to figure out a way for gas exchange.

x3. Big mistake I made when I was a newbie was to cover the tank. Now it's open with a screen top and much better gas exchange/no nitrates issues
