I would say that IDing a young parrotfish is very difficult and since parrots aren’t prevalent in the hobby anyway I doubt anyone here will do better then ISFS

I have another juvenile steephead parrot fish. Both cleared QT and now in DT. Both the strep head and the above seems to be swimming together and feeding together? I’m guessing can both be the same but one being male and female.. both were caught within the same area.

Probably not
Parrotfish start life as female and usually only turn male later in life. I’m guessing it’s too early for one to have gone male.
 
Yes similar to wrasse they start as female when juvenal and then transition to male before they reach terminal phase.
