I was looking in my sump when I spotted these white things on some rock.

They are soft to the touch and don't seem to move when touched.

They are the white things on the rock.

I have this same growth on my rock as well. It is in a areas with low light. I think it may be a type of sponge. It hasn't affected my tank in any way so I just leave it alone.

I have the same in my return and sump...even a couple in my DT. They are Pineaple sponges from what I have found. I have left mine alone.
