This is taking over any clear area in the rocks. Can anyone please ID and is there anything that can be done to slow it from spreading?

Clove polyps. Can easily take over a tank. I haven't had them, so I don't know how to get rid of them.

Looks like purple clove polyps. You may be able to manually remove them, they grow in mats
