you want that salinity somewhere between 1.024-1.026 ,temp for ponies ideal 75-77
try to get some already eating frozen. i'd stay away from the dwarfs ,short lifespan.

Its a 45gal diamond shaped corner tank, and there is roughly 4- 5ish inches of sand on the bottom (I was planning on space for roots to grow). I will report back with measurement specifics when I hear from my dad. The salinity was at 21 when we checked it yesterday, I'll get get calcium & magnesium info too.

So a couple things:
Your salinity does seem a little low, but still pretty good.

Ideas:
I was thinking maybe you could get a small mangrove tree in there. I haven't done this, but it would give some little grabs on the roots of it for your seahorses.

Definitely Agree with the Macro algae

One more idea is that you could add a SPS Coral, such as Bali Slimer as it gives a lot of holding places

Calcium is very important for the horses and the Coral, but the magnesium is really important for the tree and the corals as well, but still important Parameters.

Hope to see what it looks like whenever you set up the tank and some seahorses are hand fed, which would be really cool if you could teach yours to do that. Watching sea horses hand fed melts my heart

We did adjust the salinity to bring it up a bit, and I'm picking up Calcium and Magnesium kits today because I found we don't have them. I appreciate your help so much! I found some fun colorful macros from a company called corals anonymous, so we will see how those go. I'll definitely add photos when its all in place. If you have any advice on what to look for on algea becoming sexual, I would love any help you have to offer there. I'd love to have a mangrove tree but I think it's a protected tree in FL so I may have to do more research on laws for that.
