I just got this bubble tip anemone 3 days ago. I dripped and temperature acclimated it for an hour. My salinity is a little low, around 34 and ph is in the 7.5-8 range. The nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia levels are all perfect.

At first the anemone seemed perfectly fine and started moving however it flipped itself upside down and was moving like that. At one point it stopped upside down and looked stuck so I gently flipped it. After that it flipped itself back over and began splitting, now it has not moved over continued splitting.

If someone could tell me any other things to test that would be helpful, and whether or not the anemone can come back from this.

There is a lot of algae going on. How old is the tank?

Have you measured nitrate and phosphate? If the anemone is actively splitting than just leave it be.

1. Get something to test phosphate. It is VERY important, especially for corals and anemones. 2. Salinity shouldn’t be 1.034, it should be 1.025-1.026. Not much more or less. 3. pH should be around 8.1-8.4. If it’s going through a low level phase, then ok. But if it’s consistent and is always that way, I suggest fixing it.

Ok so I'm a little late to this, hopefully it worked out well.

For what it worth I've seen this happen with mine.

It's just not a fan of something in the tank.

I made a very big bonehead mistake when I dosed Alkalin8.3-P and put 8oz of prepared solution in

The RBTA did the exact same thing because the pH and Alk swing was a big change to the tank

The next morning it was out and happily reaching up, tentacles inflated and has been fine since, except it likes to shrivel up around the time I was getting home from work- so I adjusted the light schedule and it seems fine now.

Hopefully yours got settled in and it just needed time
