Hello,

I hope you are all having a great New Year. I’m hoping this community can help me with me getting started and setup in Brazil.

A little about me I’m in the Military and never had pets due to constant moving, deployments, rotations etc. Well the time has come for me to medically retire. I will be moving to Brazil to focus on my family, slow down, and take some time for me. I’ve always wanted a fish tank as an adult and I believe it will help keep me occupied and hopefully help with PTSD symptoms. I tell you all this to explain my lack of experience and motivation.

Do you all have any recommendations for websites preferably with delivery that you use in Brazil or companies that will ship tanks there? I’ve been looking at beginner AIO tanks and considering clownfish with a couple corals to start but, I’m open to any suggestion. I’m in the planning phase so I won’t be purchasing any live animals until my knowledge will permit. Thanks for reading and I’m sorry it was so long winded.

Thank you for your service!

I’d suggest a 40g to get started. Smaller tanks are harder to keep stable, and bigger tanks can get very pricey. I have a 40g breeder tank after having a nano tank, and the 40g is much easier to maintain. My build thread is attached to this message. It covers everything I did when I set up the tank. Good luck!

Thank you so much for replying! Your tank is gorgeous and I would be ecstatic to have a tank half as nice as yours.
