I was cleaning my tank today and knocked my reflector on my t5, about an hour later I noticed the reflector was no longer attached to the bulb. I couldn't figure out why, until I was that a nut was missing from the clip. I am almost positive it fell into my tank, but I have moved rocks broke a few coral colonies in the action, and still can't find it. It is very small, but I know metal is bad for the tank. Should I tank everything out and sift through the sand and every rock, or can I just pray that nothing bad happens?

Thanks in advance

Try a magnet it might pick up what you can't see, also run it along the sand bed maybe it got covered with sand.Just a thought. I would hate to tear my tank apart to find nothing.

I found it behind the aquarium on the floor. No wonder I couldn't find it inside the aquraium. Thanks for the help anyways. I learned a lesson about making sure your equipment is tight though.

Glad you found it! That was going to be my next guess. lol! Sort of remainds me when I introduce a Diamond goby for the first time. He live happy for what I was able to see, then one day I didn't see him but I paid no mind since he would dig borrows under rocks and chill inside form time to time. Then the next day I still didn't see him, I knew they were jumpers but he looked happpy so I figure he wasn't suicidle. So anyways I looked and looked and stil couldn't find him. Two days later I looked behind the stand on the floor, and there he was fish jerky... poor guy... lol!
