I've been holding off making this post but my poor Goniopora are struggling big time. Everything was fine until I deep cleaned my sand bed about six months ago. The deep cleaning spiked my Nitrates through the roof to 200ppm and my Gonipora hasn't been fully extended since. Currently my Nitrates are around 40 PPM and I'm trying to get them down to the undectable levels they were prior to the disaster. I got an Algae Scrubber about three weeks ago and it has taken off big time, long bright green Algae growth. Water changes did not really affect the Nitrate level so that's out. I'm thinking about dosing NoPox along with Algae just to get things under control. Any advice would be appreciated.
Nitrates 40 ppm
Phosphates 0.25 ppm
Nitrite 0
Alk 11
Ph 8
Calc & Mag test on the way.
Saltmix: Red Coral Pro
Gonipora: Purple, Yellow and Blue.
It's been about 5 months since I've seen extension.
All other Corals are fine.
They all look like this now
