My next question is I have a seachem copper test being shipped as we speak. I will be medicating with cupermine. What should the proper level of cupermine be in the QT tank to treat for ich and other parasites?? It doesn't say one the bottle.

0.35-0.5 mg/L is the therapeutic range for Cupramine; but just shoot for 0.5 (easier to read on the test kit) and hold it there for 4 weeks.

Yes, one week is perfect. Unless you are dealing with a fast killing parasite such as marine velvet disease.

Ok.... if it is the case of velvet then how fast?

Before the fish even goes into QT or very shortly thereafter. It can be just the minimum therapeutic dose (at first), but IME velvet will kill a fish quicker than copper intolerance. So it's the lesser of two evils in that particular situation.
