Hi folks,

I could use some help from folks familiar with the myAI app and especially for AI blades.

I have 4 blades, 3 freshwater and 1 coral glow.

All of them work via the app dashboard , such as with “lights on 50%”. All stay on as long as they are supposed to.

They also all seem to show the appropriate color changes in the easy setup of the lighting schedule.

The problem is when I go from the easy setup back to the dashboard, the coral glow turns off, despite it being set in the easy schedule. Changes I make to the freshwater blades stay after going to the dashboard.

Thus, I cannot figure out why the glow turns off.

Any help is appreciated. :)

Programming glitch, these kinds of equational errors are not found in chemical equations.

Bump.
I have one blade on my fish tank. I dial it in manually and its on an external timer.

Are you talking about the easy mode that has the 2 rainbow shaped sliders to adjust kelvin and intensity?

I think I got it. Power cycling it had no effect, but deleting it from the app and adding it again worked. :)

FYI, this is the easy setup page I was referring to. I’ll probably do a more natural intensity program later.

As an FYI, if you want even more control, put the Glow on its own tank and you can control it exclusively from the Fresh Blades.

I found this more convenient when mixing grows and glows though since it lumps them together. All the royal blues from the Grow and Glow run together if that makes sense. I wanted just the Glows to run a super violet with a tiny bit of blue dusk/dawn. Think back to VHO actinic days.

So I had to “separate” them into different tanks

Thanks, I might do that. :)

I was at a page like that briefly, but cannot figure out how to get back to it. lol

Maybe not in chemical equations, or mathematics - but you have quite a few in biology.

A good example is how certain receptors can mistake Strontium for Calcium 🙃

Sometimes the design simply doesn’t count every edge case.

(Appolagize in advance for the off-topic. But I’m sure Randy will approve this one :) )

It’s manual mode on the top right I think.

I have 4 AI hydras, and I’ve been wanting to play with the sliders to see which colors cause what fluorescence over my tank.

You’re making me want to switch my T5 to LEDs.

The lack of 420-440 nm is the only reason I haven’t made the switch yet. I need high par/high-powered for my acros and clams.

Agreed.
It is natural to have glitches, and these are scene many places in nature and society.
Glad you picked up on my chemistry link in my off-topic- bump.

My worse experience was when TSA "Got a HIt" on my natural pain meds that I had packed inside a powdered Tang bottle.
My wife watched in horror as the guard stuck his hands in my pants in front of the entire air port.
I told them if they had a problem with my tang bottle that they could throw it away. That was a problem (for them) because they had no reason to open the bottle. While he was waiting for his superior I told him; "Thank you. I usually have to pay for getting groped." A few long minutes later they let me (old, small fish) go.
