Help! I’m trying not to panic but I’m hoping it is ok. I got a “inch worm” toadstool leather at my LFS 5 days ago. I can’t find “inch worm” anywhere but that’s what they called it. It looks like a neon green toadstool leather. All the polyps were extend and looked really cool. After placement in my tank, I know they take awhile but I just wanted to make sure it is doing ok. Today is day 5. It has not extend its polyps fully. It comes out half and goes back in. Today was the most extended I have seen it but it looks like playdough being pushed through a strainer. 🤣 is it shedding and is it ok? It has a brown tint on it but it doesn’t look shiny.

That looks normal as it is acclimating. It's not a weeping willow type too. You should ask the seller for a colony/mother pic so you have a frame of reference on what it is supposed to look like.

Thanks so much! That makes me feel better. And I’ll definitely ask him for a mother pic or I’ll go take one when I go back. Thanks again!

What if it was a weeping willow? My toadstool looks like this too and I don’t know what is going on. I think mine is a weeping willow.

Weeping willow should have long polyps that flutter with the wave. The one on the OP's pic looks solid.
The weeping willow types would have those small tendrils at the tip of the tentacles.
