Please help. Just saw this today in a few locations. All found out of the light. Friend/foe/ neutral?

Looks like spaghetti worm. Good cleaner if so

It looks like a sponge to me.
You can check whether it moves when touched. If it doesn't move at all, then it is probably a sponge.
If so, it is a harmless filter feeder.

Thank you! Tried to mess with it this morning and it stayed put. No movement. Strangest sponge I've ever seen.

I was thinking the same thing, but when I fed this morning there wasn't any extension or feeding behavior. Thank you for the reply!
